i went out tonight with a great friend of mine, Angela. Like most nights it started off slow i was awakened by a call from Elias who informed me of show that was taking place in downtown oakland. so i went off still groggy from the nap and headed to Angela's place of stay to scoop her up and luanch her to this known venue of art and music. it started off like a bad movie, no direction, no intent we were just woundering around trying to get a good laugh. on our entrance into the second space i was delighted to see a taco truck, the ones you see parked on the side of the street in the core of a business district during luch time. My first thought was how brilliant it was to have a food truck parked inside a venue sharing the space with experimental music and art. with further evaluationg i realized the degree of greatness this held. not only was the artists as well as the guests benefiting the change from bread and cheese but the individuals working the truck were making a profit from the hungry, hung over arists ravaging the space.
this was the first happening the second occured while exiting the venue. Angela and i were done with the whole consuming binge and were off to Van kleefs for a night cap when we were stopped by a fellow whom i can't remenber the name of, so i will address him as red shirt. I had noticed him earlier eyeing Anglea out from a far but with a strange familiar twinkle in his eye. At first she had no recollection of who he was and why he was trying to keep her from leaving. his friend made some silly comment that Anglea responded to with a swift remark that surprisingly hit him in a sour place. feeling bad Anglea stuck around to apologize while i slowly slid down the the wall in a state of boredom. As i was zoning out ready to leave i caught a part of their conversation, to my disbelief they were recalling a moment that they shared while walking past eachother on the street a few months back. this moment was an extreme of those moments when you catch eyes with a someone while on your way to something. In their case they had did the awkward look back three times, enough to get a good sense of what they looked like for later attempts. this was enough for me but what was really out of the box was that they were both hitting the same degree of excitment that they had finally met up. on most occsions it is often a one sided deal, that only one person is ecstatic on meeting this mysterous individual. it was refreshing to whitness this happening, i apologize i really don't give it justice to what it really entails. cheers
