The past few weeks have been a little overwhelming but finally the pace has slowed slightly. I have been rethinking a lot of the choices i have made in the last couple months. I am still unsure if what I'm doing is the right way to go but I'm choosing to stick with it for a while to see where it takes me.
This evening i experienced my first earthquake. I was a little confused, my first thought was that a car ran into the front of our house. Give me a break I'm from the mid-west this doesn't happen there. Later on I caught the news and found out that in fact it was a earthquake, pretty minor at a 3.9.
Today was my first day at CCA, both at the Oakland and San Francisco campus. It went pretty well i didn't feel too out of place in this new environment. This morning i had an architecture class focusing on the connection between modern furniture and architecture. From what i took in through the brief summery that was given it will be an informative yet exciting class. We have many trips scheduled to various designer studios, manufacturers and shops in the san francisco area. Through analysis and discussion we will later generate various plans in constructing a single piece at the end of the semester.
This evening i had history in experimental media in film. It feels a little like a review of what i've already had but at least my amusement will be at play since the teacher seems to be an interesting character.
So far all is well.
I finally met the third roommate this evening. I made a kind of a homecoming dinner for him and the rest of the roommates. Mark has been in New York for the past few months. He seems pretty outgoing we have been getting along so far but who knows how long that will last. Derek and i cleaned house today, this has been long overdue. I feel little better knowing that everything has been sterilized and swept. Mark was surprised to arrive home to a clean house and a home cooked meal. He shouldn't expect this to happen too often though.
